YOUR FAMILY'S INFORMATION

Privacy policy

How Duogrow handles guardian, child, school-report, and learning information.

Last updated 29 August 2026

Who we are

Duogrow is operated by VALYRIA PTY LTD in Australia. A guardian owns the family account and controls each connected child profile.

Questions or privacy requests can be sent to admin@duogrow.ai.

Information we handle

We handle only the information needed to provide, protect, and improve Duogrow.

  • Guardian account, sign-in, family membership, and subscription information.
  • Child profile details a guardian provides, such as name, age or school year, goals, and learning preferences.
  • School reports and the source text, grades, teacher comments, and report metadata they contain.
  • Decoded insights, missions, attempts, streaks, badges, portfolio entries, photos, audio, video, captions, and transcripts created in Duogrow.
  • Teacher or family validation, invitations, cheers, and related consent records.
  • Security, reliability, feature-use, and diagnostic events designed to exclude raw child reports and private media.

How we use it

We use family information to decode a report into plain language, create grounded learning suggestions, run missions, save progress, support family collaboration, operate subscriptions, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.

AI output is educational support, not a replacement for the original school report, a teacher, or professional advice. Duogrow is designed to preserve source evidence and make uncertainty visible rather than invent grades or facts.

Children and guardian control

Children do not need their own public account. A guardian creates and controls the family space, decides what to upload or share, and can request an export or deletion. School, teacher, tutor, support, and family access is restricted by tenant and role.

We design for a child's best interests, use private-by-default sharing, and do not use child information for behavioural advertising.

Service providers and disclosure

We do not sell family or child information. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. We share information only with service providers needed to operate Duogrow, when a guardian directs a share, to protect the service, or when law requires it.

Depending on the feature and environment, providers may support authentication, hosting and storage, AI processing, error monitoring, product analytics, feature rollout, communications, and payments. These may include Descope, Apple, cloud infrastructure and storage providers, AI model providers, Sentry, PostHog, Statsig, Datadog, Braintrust, OpenTelemetry-compatible services, Resend or Postmark, Airwallex, and Stripe. Provider access is governed by provider terms, configuration, and product purpose.

Storage, security, and international processing

We use access controls, encryption in transit, private upload paths, tenant isolation, audit records, and monitoring intended to protect family information. No online service can promise absolute security.

Our providers may process information in Australia and other countries. Where information crosses borders, we use provider terms and safeguards appropriate to the service and applicable law.

Retention, export, and deletion

We keep information while it is needed to provide Duogrow, protect the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Where AI memory is enabled, guardians can choose a retention period from 1 to 90 days; the product default is 30 days.

A signed-in guardian can request a family-data export or start account deletion from Settings & plan → Privacy & data. Deletion is verified before records are removed. Minimum billing, legal, fraud-prevention, and security records may be retained where required, and backup removal may take additional time.

Your choices and changes

Guardians can correct profile details, control sharing, manage notifications, request an export, or request deletion. If you cannot sign in, contact us from the guardian email associated with the account.

We may update this policy as Duogrow changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
